Of all the participants in a Northern Wilderness trip I find the family that spends this special time together, leaves with the fondest of memories and also makes for a lasting impression on the children. Given enough time to unwind from the rigors of work and every day routines, you will begin to allow your special time together to affect you in ways you have yet to imagine.

Any of the trips described are available for the family, although only one family will be guided at a time. From the first moment you register I will be helping you to fine-tune your trip just the way you want it.

Such details as meals, children's interest, length of trip, miles per day that must be covered and anything else you would like to include will be worked out before your departure date. This will be YOUR trip to remember and I will personally see to it that your experience will be the best it can be.

Personal family trips are arranged with the dates that are convenient for you. There must be at least 2 in your group and cannot exceed 11. Family trips are run for a minimum of 3 nights 4 days to 7 nights 8 days.  Family trip locations are suggested after knowing more about your family group make up, ages, paddling experience, and interest of the family members like fishing, hiking, swimming, nature tours etc. Trips in areas of your selection  are welcomed also.

Personal family trip rates are all-inclusive: I provide meals, outfitting, guide, instructions, campsite and woods road user fees and transportation shuttle fees from our departure point to the river and back. All you bring is yourself, sleeping bag, personal items (I send a complete list when you sign up), a good appetite and a willing attitude! Reservations require a per person deposit and payment-in-full is required thirty days before trip departure. Register early to ensure your desired dates.

After making your initial contact with Every Place Wild and discussing your preferences I will send you a registration form along with a suggested personal clothing list and a trip itinerary, also recommendations of places to stay in the area of Millinocket before and after your trip if you find this helpful.

Upon receiving the completed reservation form along with your deposit, a confirmation will be sent to you confirming your trip dates. My trips are not designed to be an endurance test or a race down river, but instead an enjoyable vacation combining some new challenges with ample time ashore for just resting, enjoying the water, exploring, fishing and observing wildlife. One of our goals is to get on the water as early as possible each day, being first on the water in the morning allows us to travel during the cooler part of the day, see more wildlife and arrive at our campsite for the night around two o'clock. Of course weather can upset the time-table at any time but with our leisurely schedule any time lost can be easily made up in the following days.

The cost of a trip with Every Place Wild depends on several factors and that is what makes each trip unique in its pricing. Once I have determined from our initial contact things like, how many there will be in your party, the ages of the participants (Children's rates are less than adults) where we decide to take your trip (this can be determined with my help), the number of days you would like to spend on your trip, then the cost of your trip can be determined and a firm all inclusive price will be quoted to you in writing.
